From the subterranean silo shafts beneath the central dome rose three towering titans of ancient steel.

Fifty feet of dark, iridescent titanium-carbide armor plating, four inches thick and riveted tight. Their chest plates bore the First Epoch hexagonal planetary seal, and their optical sensors glowed with deep crimson through four-inch quartz viewing ports. Industrial steam hissed from cowlings along their shoulder joints, venting clouds of superheated vapor that beaded up on the polished armor.

In their right hands, thirty-foot plasma lances crackled with thousands of volts of violet arcs. In their left hands hung five-ton pneumatic crushing fists that cycled with rhythmic, concussive thumps:

*Tss-CHOP! Tss-CHOP! Tss-CHOP!*

Cultivation scriptures across the continent recorded these three mechanical war machines under one blood-soaked title: **The Three Ancient Void Titans of Slaughter**.

Sacred sect annals locked away in the Heavenly Sword Sect's deepest iron vaults remembered them well. Eight hundred years back, during the First War of the Rift, an alliance of twelve righteous sects had marched down into this subterranean sanctum. Three thousand foundation cultivators, four hundred Golden Core elders, and twelve revered Nascent Soul ancestors had strode across this very platform with drawn swords and ancestral protective talismans.

The three titans stepped out from the bedrock. They swept their purple plasma lances in broad, merciless arcs and ground the entire vanguard to pieces in under twenty minutes. Defensive jade artifacts popped like cheap Christmas ornaments. Spiritual blood pooled across the titanium grating. By midday, twelve immortal lineages had been turned into red paste and scrap iron.

High above the platform, the glitching, pixelated holographic sovereign jabbed all eight arms downward. Its synthesized voice hammered through the ceiling horns:

*"T-T-TITANS OF THE VOID... AWAKEN! CRUSH... THIS... M-M-MORTAL PEST! PURGE... HIS... R-R-ROOT REPOSITORY!"*

The three fifty-foot colossi took their first synchronized step onto the central deck:

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

One hundred and thirty-five metric tons of walking metal shook the five-hundred-meter dome. Shockwaves shuddered through the catwalk girders, making high-tensile support cables hum like plucked bass strings.

Li Xiaoyao hit the deck behind the supervisor's steel desk. His sword tumbled from numb fingers, clattering uselessly against the grating. Paralyzing dread seized his chest:

"The Void Titans... the ancient slayers of twelve sects..." Xiaoyao choked, his wide eyes reflecting the purple glare of the plasma spears. "It's over... no mortal flesh can take fifty feet of celestial divine iron! Even the mountain-cleaving sword intents of our ancestral founders couldn't leave a scratch on their divine hides!"

Austin didn't reach for a sword. He didn't bother with incantations or spiritual wards.

He pushed his safety glasses up his nose, tapped the side of his Sovereign Hard Hat, and let the system HUD spit out a mechanical diagnostic on the lead machine:

*Ping.*

DEV CONSOLE
STANDALONE HOST
[MECHANICAL TARGET SCAN: Heavy Industrial Demolition Golem]
Model: First Epoch Mk-II Heavy Hydraulic Earthmover (Tier 4)
Gross Weight: 45.0 Metric Tons (x3 Units)
Primary Drive: High-Pressure Closed-Loop Hydraulic Piston
Operating Fluid: MIL-PRF-5606 Synthetic Hydrocarbon Base
Critical Mechanical Flaw: Exposed External Steering Knuckle
Fastener Specification: 4.0-inch Grade-8 Titanium Flange Bolt
Fastener Condition: Un-torqued, Zero Safety Wire, No Loctite
[Contractor Assessment]: Shockingly poor mechanical layout.
Critical pivot fasteners lack safety wire or thread-locker.
High-vibration application with zero secondary retention.

Austin stared at the lead titan, his mouth dropping open in raw contractor disbelief.

"Are you shitting me?" Austin muttered, shaking his head with bitter, professional disgust. "An Earthmover? They took an industrial open-pit mining excavator, slapped a welding torch and a hydraulic rock-breaker on its arms, sprayed it with charcoal primer, and called it an 'Ancient Titan of Slaughter'?"

He leaned forward, stabbing his yellow grease pencil toward the lead machine's legs.

"Look at that layout! External hydraulic lines routed along the outside of the shin with zero protective armor cowling. One stray piece of gravel could punch a hole in that braid. And four-inch Grade-8 flange bolts on the primary knee knuckle with no Loctite, no safety wire, and not even a split cotter pin through the castle nut!"

Austin spat onto the titanium grating with a wet *splat*.

"Whoever signed off on the QA inspection for these demolition golems should've had their ticket pulled before the First Epoch even folded. Held together with spit and bailing wire! If an OSHA inspector saw exposed hydraulic lines running three thousand PSI across a pedestrian walkway without burst-sleeves, he'd red-tag the entire goddamn continent!"

*VZZZZZT—BOOM!*

The lead titan lunged.

Thirty feet of purple plasma lance stabbed forward with brutal mechanical speed, aimed dead at Austin’s sternum. The air shrieked as arcs of electrical fire consumed the ambient oxygen, throwing off a blistering wave of thermal heat.

Xiaoyao shut his eyes, waiting for Austin to turn into a puff of vaporized carbon.

Austin didn't scramble. He didn't panic.

Two measured, syncopated steps forward in his Vibram-soled work boots. He dipped his left shoulder under the thrust, moving with the casual rhythm of a warehouse rigger slipping under a swinging crane hook.

*WHOOSH!*

The thirty-foot plasma spear sliced through empty space three inches above his hard hat. The wash of heat singed the air, scarring a ten-foot swath of black soot into the granite dome ceiling.

Before the machine's hydraulic rams could cycle for a retract, Austin rolled behind its left leg.

He unslung the **Five-Foot Stellar-Steel Pipe Wrench** from his shoulder, swung the forged alloy handle in a flat, heavy arc, and locked the hardened serrated jaws straight onto the exposed four-inch knee bolt:

*CLANK!*

The carbon-steel teeth bit deep into the titanium hex flats.

Austin planted both boots into the deck mesh, locked his lumbar vertebrae, tightened his forearms, and threw his full eighteen-G-weighted mass into a vicious counter-clockwise snap:

"Left-loosey, rust-bucket!"

*CREAK—CRUNCH-SNAP!*

A five-foot forged lever arm backed by the torque of an active, million-and-a-half-degree stellar furnace core. The four-inch titanium bolt had zero chance. Its threads sheared clean off with a sound like a rifle shot. The severed bolt head ricocheted off the platform like an artillery round, whistling into the distance before clanging off a steel bulkhead: *PING-DONG!*

The high-pressure steering cylinder blew its seal wide open.

Three thousand PSI of red synthetic hydrocarbon fluid erupted in a blinding, crimson aerosol geyser:

*PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH!*

Without hydraulic pressure in its knee knuckle, forty-five metric tons of primeval titanium lost every shred of structural integrity. The left leg buckled inward at a sickening, ninety-degree angle like a crushed paper straw:

*SCREEEEEECH!*

Plates twisted. Bearings groaned. The lead titan listed hard to port, tipped off its center of gravity, and slammed into the titanium deck with an ear-splitting, concussive crash:

*KAAA-BOOOOOM!*

The second titan stomped straight through the spray, lifting its five-ton pneumatic crushing fist high overhead to smash Austin into grease.

Austin didn't even blink. He hopped onto the fallen titan’s chassis, vaulted onto its shoulder cowling—*Clomp*—and jammed the hooked bill of his pipe wrench behind the second machine’s elbow linkage.

He didn't waste time unbolting this one. He used the five-foot handle as a pry bar, yanking the mechanical directional spool valve forty-five degrees out of true with one brutal jerk:

*CRACK!*

The valve jammed hard in reverse.

Instead of crashing down onto Austin, the five-ton pneumatic piston fired backward with full line pressure—smashing the colossus square in its own titanium jaw:

*CLANG-DONGGGGGGGGGG!*

The impact rang out like a bronze temple bell blasted by a freight train. The head whipped back at a grotesque angle. Quartz optical sensors exploded into red glitter. The internal balancing gyroscope sheared off its mounts, and forty-five tons of iron tumbled backward over the catwalk railing, crashing into the lower support frames like a felled sequoia:

*CRASH-SMASH-BANG!*

Thirty paces away, the third titan skidded to a dead halt. Its red eye flickered in frantic digital hesitation. It dropped its thirty-foot plasma lance to hip level, spooling up the heavy capacitor bank for rapid-fire suppressive artillery:

*BZZZT—CHARGING CAPACITOR BANK: 30%... 45%...*

Before the meter could touch fifty, an eight-hundred-pound black blur shot across the deck.

*WOOF!*

Cerberus Pug charged with pure, manic terrier energy, short legs pumping like high-speed pistons across the grating.

He leaped eight feet into the air. All three wrinkled, slobbery black jaws clamped shut around the third titan’s main hydraulic return manifold:

*CHOMP-CRUNCH!*

Pug’s nether-solar teeth, heated from within by his demonic core, sliced through three-inch steel-braided hydraulic line like a puppy through stale beef jerky.

*SQUIIIIIRT!*

A torrential geyser of hot red hydraulic oil blasted across Pug’s face and chest, painting his black fur crimson and soaking the deck like a busted municipal fire main.

Pug hit the platform with a heavy thud, shaking all three heads in pure doggy bliss—*Sneeze, snort, pffft!*—licking his chops and smacking his lips as if he'd just discovered the finest beef bouillon in the realm.

Behind him, the third titan’s console flashed into permanent hydraulic deadlock:

`[PRESSURE: 0.0 PSI - COMPLETE SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZATION]` `[MECHANICAL BRAKES: SEIZED]`

The fifty-foot war machine froze rigid as a statue. It swayed on its heels for two awkward seconds, lost equilibrium, and toppled forward with a dull, hollow metallic thud:

*WHAM.*

The entire scrap had taken forty-two seconds.

Three legendary Void Titans—the nightmare of twelve great cultivation sects, the slayers of four hundred Golden Core masters—lay in a tangled, leaking, broken heap across the supervisory deck.

Austin pulled a clean cotton rag from his overalls, calmly wiping a speck of crimson hydraulic fluid off his cheek.

He slipped his yellow grease pencil from behind his ear, stepped over the twisted titanium limbs, and drew thick, confident contractor marks across each fallen chest plate:

`[SCRAP SALVAGE - 135 TONS GRADE-5 TITANIUM-CARBIDE]` `[REQUISITION: SUNSET PEAK FOUNDRY - FLOOR 2 INDUCTION CRUCIBLE]` `[STAGE AT SECTOR B FREIGHT ELEVATOR FOR EXTRACTION]`

Li Xiaoyao crawled out from behind the desk on his hands and knees. He stared in dazed, glassy-eyed shock at the sheared four-inch bolt head rolling lazily across the grating.

"One... one turn of the celestial wrench..." Xiaoyao whispered, his voice cracking as his trembling fingertips hovered over the severed steel. "The ancient titans that slaughtered our ancestors... defeated not by nine-layered sword arrays, not by heaven-cleaving lightning... but by the Counter-Clockwise Reversal of the Ancient Thread..."

Xiaoyao looked up at Austin, his eyes filled with terrified awe. "Senior... is 'left-loosey' the supreme Daoist secret of unbinding the cosmos?!"

Austin snorted, capping his grease pencil. "No, kid. It's standard right-hand thread. Clockwise tightens, counter-clockwise loosens. Basic plumbing. If you don't know which way to turn a nut, you shouldn't be holding a wrench."

High above the platform, Overseer-04’s three-hundred-foot holographic avatar flickered violently. Green scanlines buzzed like plucked wire as its voice synthesizer went into a shrill, digital meltdown:

*"MY... MY TITANS! MY UNBEATABLE SLAUGHTER COLOSSI! CRIPPLED BY A DAMN PIPE WRENCH?!"*
