Chapter 109: Level 50 Milestone: Sol-Class Core Metrics

Through the dark green lenses of his heavy Shade-14 arc-welding goggles, Austin studied the full diagnostic sheet of his Level 50 breakthrough.

Deep inside his lower abdomen, his internal plumbing had undergone an irreversible, structural overhaul.

The messy, chaotic pre-ignition crucible of the Foundation Establishment stage was gone. No more turbulent clouds of compressed hydrogen vapor, sputtering plasma arcs, or jury-rigged magnetic choke collars. Suspended dead center in his lower core cavity floated a blinding white, searing sphere of pure stellar matter: an honest-to-god **Sol-Class Golden Core**.

Nothing about this core was metaphorical. No glowing jade pebble, no swirling vortex of spiritual mist, no misty Daoist poetry about fasting and breath control. Suspended inside his dantian sat an active, self-sustaining gravitational thermonuclear main sequence star.

Continental-scale bubbling heat cells rolled across its surface, churning millions of square leagues of liquid hydrogen and helium plasma. Roaring solar prominences looped thousands of miles into the void of his lower abdomen, pinned down solely by the interlocking, crystalline web of the First Epoch Containment Mesh. The mesh hummed with an ultra-high-frequency drone, its magnetic lines of force woven tighter than carbon nanotubes, locking the fury of stellar fusion behind four decimal places of safety tolerance.

Austin tapped the brim of his Sovereign Hard Hat, and the master system sheet unfurled across his vision in sharp green vectors:

[UNLOCKED BLUEPRINT]: Tier 5 High-Speed Industrial Mag-Lev
Rail System & Evacuated Vacuum Transit Tube Infrastructure

Austin blew a slow whistle through his teeth.

"Five hundred petawatts," he muttered, rubbing the knurled metal clip of his grease pencil. "Five hundred quadrillion watts of continuous baseline output. That ain't a character sheet stat. That’s an industrial planetary power utility."

He ran the math in his head.

Back on Earth, the entire human civilization ran on an average global load of roughly three to four terawatts. A single petawatt was one thousand terawatts. Five hundred petawatts meant the miniature sun humming between his hips threw off more continuous juice than one hundred and twenty-five thousand modern Earths combined.

"Back home, I could have wired this core into North America's grid, run eighty thousand electric arc furnaces day and night, desalinated the entire Pacific Ocean, and still had enough surplus left over to light up Tokyo for a century," Austin grumbled, shaking his head. "And what do cultivators in this world do with that kind of wattage? Shoot a slightly fatter purple lightning bolt at a limestone cliff, then go sit on a mossy boulder for three hundred years. The thermodynamic waste in this genre makes my teeth itch."

He scrolled past the power generation metrics down to the tech-tree rewards.

His eyes widened behind the green welding glass. Pure, unadulterated builder greed flared in his chest:

`[Blueprint Unlocked: Tier 5 High-Speed Industrial Mag-Lev Rail System]` `System Specifications: Superconducting Linear Synchronous Induction Guideways; Cryogenically Cooled Yttrium-Barium-Copper-Oxide (YBCO) Magnetic Levitation Tracks; Regenerative Magnetic Braking Stators; Aerodynamic Evacuated Vacuum Transit Tubes; Pressurized 50-Ton Heavy Ore Gondolas; Automated Switching Yard SCADA Modules.`

Austin leaned forward in his cedar rocking chair, his wooden clipboard resting across his knees.

"A mag-lev corridor..." he breathed, his voice dropping into quiet reverie. "A real, high-speed, heavy-industrial mag-lev logistics line. God above, the transport infrastructure in this world is an absolute disaster."

He tapped the clipboard with sharp, rhythmic clicks:

"Took us four full days on a mangy jackal-sled just to inspect a five-hundred-kilometer fissure in the western rift! Local merchants spend three months hauling copper pigs along the provincial dirt road in wooden ox-carts, losing fifteen percent of the freight to axle snaps, mud wallows, and wandering bandits with cheap flying swords! And flying swords are the stupidest logistical concept ever dreamed up! A flying sword carries one guy, burns expensive spirit stones like dry straw, offers zero wind shielding, and if you sneeze at three thousand feet, your cargo crate drops through a farmer’s thatched roof!"

Austin traced the cross-sectional schematics of the guideway with his pencil tip:

"With Tier 5, we can lay superconducting linear stator rails right down the highway right-of-way. Pour basalt-aggregate transit tubes, pull a hard vacuum inside, and kill air resistance completely. Forty-car magnetic levitation freight trains screaming along at six hundred miles per hour. We could shuttle five hundred tons of Tier 4 Stellar-Steel structural channel from Sunset Peak’s foundries down to Canglan Citadel in forty-five minutes flat."

He imagined it: standardized ISO shipping containers rolling on magnetic cushions, arriving on schedules accurate to the nearest tenth of a second, automated gantry cranes stacking ore billets into tiered silos.

"No more ox carts. No more pack mules. No more wandering cultivators charging sixty gold coins to balance a sack of barley on the flat of a sword," Austin chuckled, warmed to the core by the prospect of ruthless supply chain optimization. "We're bringing scheduled freight timetables to this barbarian empire if it kills them."

He dismissed the blueprint tab to test his physical collision box.

He stood up from his rocking chair.

*Clomp.*

The moment his steel-toed boots took his weight, the heavy cedar floorboards groaned with a sharp, stressed squeal:

*Crrrr-eak.*

Austin froze.

Under the new **Twenty-Five Times Earth Gravity (25.0G)** field radiating from his Sol-Class core, his localized mass was astronomical. The containment mesh kept his gravity well from collapsing the mountain into a micro-black hole, but the two-meter perimeter around his boots was a crushing downforce zone.

Worse, his stance was off.

As he shifted his weight from left heel to right toe, Austin felt his torso pull forward. His shoulders rounded down a fraction of an inch, forcing his lower back to fire continuously just to keep him upright.

He glanced at the HUD warning line: `Structural Plumb Deviation: +3.2° Forward Pitch.`

Austin scowled behind his welding goggles:

"Rotational moment imbalance. The center of mass on this Sol-Class core sits roughly fourteen millimeters higher in the dantian than the old White Dwarf seed. Combined with the twenty-five G downward pull, it’s creating a continuous three-point-two-degree forward pitching moment along the sagittal plane."

He took two experimental steps across the porch:

*Thud... thud...*

It felt awful. The exact sensation every veteran contractor dreaded: carrying an unbalanced toolbelt that yanked your pelvis out of true. Walking like this for eight hours on a pour would lock his lumbar in knots before dinner.

"Unacceptable," Austin grunted. "A builder who ain't plumb is a builder begging for a blown disc. Center of gravity has to pass clean through the second sacral vertebra right down to the arches."

He moved over to his rucksack sitting against the wall.

Reaching past brass pipe fittings, rolls of vulcanized rubber tape, and boxes of copper washers, he dug deep into the reinforced bottom compartment.

His fingers found cold, dense metal.

He hauled out four fresh, factory-machined **Fifty-Pound Certified Lead Balance Slugs**.

Each slug was a solid cylinder of high-purity industrial lead, stamped with certified weight markings and fitted with heavy forged-steel belt clips.

"Four hundred pounds of total counterweight ballast should offset the vertical core shift," Austin calculated, running the moment-arm torque around his hip axis.

He clipped two of the fifty-pound lead slugs into the rear modular holsters of his toolbelt, right over his sacroiliac joints. The other two went straight into the reinforced ballast pockets sewn into the rear thighs of his heavy denim dungarees.

*Click. Clack.*

Added to the two hundred pounds of lead ballast already riding in his gear, Austin was now hauling exactly **four hundred pounds of certified industrial lead** on his frame.

He grabbed the thick leather harness strap around his waist and hauled it tight with a sharp, groaning tug:

*Zzzzt—SNAP.*

Austin stepped back onto the cedar boards.

He took three measured paces across the deck.

*Clomp. Clomp. Clomp.*

The forward drag vanished.

The four hundred pounds of lead exerted a clean downward counter-torque along his posterior chain, pulling his pelvis back into neutral and snapping his spine into a clean ninety-degree plumb line.

To test dynamic impact absorption, Austin dipped his knees and hopped six inches into the air.

He came down hard on both heels:

*THUD!*

The impact was concussive, but the deck didn't splinter. The mass transferred clean down into the four-by-four timber joists with zero wobble, zero forward pitch, and zero floorboard squeak.

His HUD cleared the warning: `Structural Plumb Deviation: 0.00° (PERFECT ALIGNMENT). Walk Speed Normalized.`

"Plumb and level," Austin said, nodding with deep satisfaction as he patted his weighted hips. "Collision box is square. Center of mass locked. Zero spinal shear."

He looked down at his work boots.

Around his steel toes, the **Shin Orbital Ring** whirred with hypnotic, blinding speed.

Expanded to **two hundred and eighty micro-particles**, the debris field swept around his lower legs in five concentric, counter-rotating tiers. Polished shards of obsidian, crushed drone ball bearings, sheared titanium bolt heads, copper slag beads, and droplets of molten star-gold orbited his shins at supersonic velocity:

*VZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!*

The rings spun so fast they formed a shimmering, five-tiered golden planetary disc hovering four inches above the timber deck.

Austin pulled his six-inch stainless pocket ruler from his breast pocket and leaned down to measure the radial clearance from the innermost ring to his boot leather:

*Sixteen millimeters.*

"Good," Austin muttered, tucking the ruler away. "One millimeter above the fifteen-mil minimum threshold. Won't shred my boot laces or chew through my cuffs when I deadlift. Clean clearance."

Before he could head back to his rocking chair to sketch out the mag-lev track layout, heavy bootsteps came pounding up the porch stairs.

*Patter-patter-patter!*

"Grand Senior! Grand Senior! Look! Look what happened!"

Li Xiaoyao burst onto the porch, eyes wide behind his emerald Shade-5 glasses, his chest heaving with wild excitement.

The kid was staggering under the sheer weight of a giant, radiant fruit the size of a medicine ball—easily thirty pounds of glowing, translucent golden flesh that pulsed with warm spiritual mist, flooding the porch with the rich scent of wild mountain honey and sweet nectar.

Austin lifted an eyebrow behind his welding goggles, eyeing the glowing botanical specimen with dry contractor skepticism:

"What in the world are you hauling up my porch, Xiaoyao? Did an oversized cantaloupe fall off a farm wagon?"

"No, Grand Senior!" Xiaoyao gasped, dropping to his knees and hoisting the giant fruit toward Austin with trembling arms. "It came from the eastern rocky cliff! The wild bitter peach tree! The second your new sun lit the sky, the ancient dead tree came back to life!"
