The anonymous message named a hunter, a date and a time. Sera found the gate-entry record before Eli finished drafting a reply.
“Vela entered the sealed gate at nine twelve,” she said. “The message says she altered the paperwork at ten.”
Eli looked at the entry log. The exit time was three forty in the afternoon. A witness had signed for the group’s return.
“Could she have sent instructions from inside?”
“The tip says she changed the form at the depot. It doesn’t say she instructed someone else.”
Kellan took the message and the log. “Can we verify the seal and the exit independently?”
“The registry has the gate record. Lantern Crossing may have its own log and witnesses.”
Tessa called Nora before anyone contacted the guild. The advocate asked them to preserve the message in its original form and record where it appeared. A screenshot would help, but the account metadata and time might matter later.
