Chapter 129: The Primordial Solar Dew Baptism

The azure plasma beam descended like an executioner's spear, aimed directly at the roof of Solitude Spire.

Below it, three microscopic droplets of soapy washwater rose into the sky, shimmering with pale amber light.

When the two forces met fifty yards above the courtyard, the laws of celestial combustion inverted.

There was no explosion.

There was no apocalyptic blast.

There was no deafening thunderclap that shattered the surrounding sky-islands into gravel.

To the raw, steady fusion energy of a 1.0-Earth-Mass stellar core, the dragon king's plasma breath was nothing more than lukewarm vapor.

The azure beam simply dissolved.

It unraveled into gentle, harmless billows of warm steam that drifted across the cloud sea like morning fog.

The three droplets did not stop.

Carried by the micro-gravitational vector of Felix’s careless arm swing, they continued upward in a clean, unimpeded trajectory.

*Plip.*

*Plip.*

*Plip.*

All three droplets landed squarely on the bridge of Dragon King Ignis-Azureus’s snout, right between his twin lightning horns.

The dragon king froze.

He had braced himself for an astral collision, expecting a cataclysmic shockwave that would test his ancient defenses.

Instead, he felt three warm, wet splatters against his scales.

Then, the Solar Dew soaked in.

The liquid didn't sit on the surface of his armored hide.

It was absorbed instantly through the microscopic pores of his storm scales, sinking straight down into his ancient draconic bone marrow.

Inside the dragon king’s body, ten thousand years of agony resided.

For twelve millennia, Ignis-Azureus had cultivated the violent, unstable lightning of the Upper Strata.

The constant absorption of raw atmospheric lightning had left his meridian pathways choked with frozen Yin-frost and corrosive lightning slag.

Every breath he took for three centuries had felt like swallowing jagged glass.

His supreme arrogance and foul temper were not born of malice, but of the relentless, unyielding torment of meridian rot.

The three droplets of tea washwater hit that meridian rot like liquid dawn.

*Sssssssss.*

A wave of pure, golden heat swept through the dragon king’s twelve thousand miles of internal energy channels.

The fifteen-million-degree Solar Dew did not burn his flesh.

It possessed the gentle, nurturing warmth of a solar star nurturing life across an entire solar system.

The ancient Yin-frost melted into vapor.

The toxic, hardened lightning slag that had crippled his heart core for ten thousand years dissolved like sugar in hot tea.

His clogged meridians expanded, smoothing out into wide, golden riverbeds of pure celestial energy.

Up in the silent sky, Dragon King Ignis-Azureus experienced a sensation he had forgotten for ten thousand years:

Complete, absolute, painless freedom.

The relief was so violent, so profound, that the dragon king’s colossal mind went completely blank.

His azure scales began to shudder.

Hairline fractures spread across his armored hide, glowing from within with radiant, golden sunlight.

*Crack... crack... shackle.*

With a sound like shattering porcelain, thousands of heavy, tarnished azure storm scales broke free from his body.

They peeled away in glittering sheets, fluttering downward through the sky like metallic autumn leaves.

Beneath the shed armor, brand-new scales emerged in brilliant splendor.

Every plate shone with deep, luminous amber-gold, pulsing with the pure, untamed radiance of a newborn star.

His jagged, storm-battered horns smoothed out into elegant spires of pure solar jade.

His draconic wings expanded, their leathery webbing replaced by shimmering membranes of spun solar fire.

A notification flashed across Felix's AetherDeck screen on the porch:

[AETHERDECK OS: WORLD MOB REACTION LOG]
STANDALONE HOST
Entity Identified: Ignis-Azureus [DRACONIC OVERLORD]
Contact Event: Saturated with 3x Drops Residual Solar Dew
Meridian Purification: 100.00% [TOXIC SLAG DISSOLVED]

• Old Form: Azure-Storm Sky Dragon [CHRONIC ROT LEVEL 9]
• New Form: Pure Primordial Solar Wyrm [TRANSCENDENT GRADE]
Current Mental State: Overwhelming Emotional Meltdown
Flight Aerodynamics: 0% [Motor Functions Abandoned]

Ignis-Azureus lost all control of his wings.

The sheer, overwhelming ecstasy of the baptism paralyzed every muscle in his three-mile-long frame.

He felt as light as a dandelion seed, his spirit floating in an ocean of warm honey.

He forgot he was flying.

He forgot he was the ruler of the Upper Strata.

Gravity, gently guided by Solitude Spire’s perimeter boundary, took hold of his limp, blissful body.

The three-mile-long golden dragon plummeted from the heavens.

Down on the ground, Lord Nether-Bane leaned on his rake, watching the falling mountain of golden scales with narrowed eye sockets.

"Brace the perimeter fence," Nether-Bane barked to the corsairs. "If that oversized gecko lands on the Sun-Lotus Cabbage, I’ll grind his new horns into bone meal!"

Fortunately, Solitude Spire’s passive spatial arrays deflected the impact.

The colossal golden dragon missed the garden beds entirely, crashing into the soft, muddy ditch just beyond the whitewashed wooden fence.

*SPLASH-THUMP.*

A tidal wave of wet mountain mud and gravel sprayed outward, coating the wild weeds along the boundary line.

Ignis-Azureus lay coiled in the ditch like an overgrown, three-mile golden earthworm.

His head rested in the mud, his golden whiskers twitching in the damp dirt.

Great, glowing tears the size of beer barrels began to pour from his golden eyes, pooling into the muddy water around his snout.

He let out a long, shuddering sob that vibrated the ground.

"The Sovereign..." Ignis-Azureus wept, his telepathic voice trembling with boundless, reverent hysteria. "The Sovereign did not execute me..."

The dragon pressed his regal golden snout deeper into the wet ditch mud, completely abandoning every shred of imperial dignity.

"He saw the poison!" the dragon king cried, his tears sparkling with golden mana. "He saw the ten thousand years of torment strangling my ancestral core!"

"I came to burn his mountain!"

"I came with weapons of wrath and pride!"

"And he... he looked upon my suffering with boundless celestial pity!"

"He did not draw a sword! He took the sacred baptismal runoff of his midday chalice, cast it across the heavens, and cleansed my wretched soul!"

Ignis-Azureus looked up at the cottage porch with bloodshot, weeping eyes.

"This is not a mortal," the dragon king whispered, trembling from his golden snout to the tip of his tail. "This is the Primordial Sun Father who birthed the first dawn!"

On the porch, Lyra Ashford slowly sank to her knees, her hands clasped tightly against her trembling lips.

She looked at the weeping golden dragon in the mud.

She looked at the thousands of discarded azure storm scales scattered across the grass.

Then, she looked at Felix Vance.

*Senior Brother’s compassion has reached the realm of absolute divinity,* Lyra thought, her heart racing with unspeakable enlightenment.

*Anyone else would have annihilated the Azure Dragon King for trespassing.*

*An emperor would have flayed his hide to make sovereign armor.*

*A sect master would have sealed his soul into a grand guardian beast.*

*Yet Senior Brother simply washed his teacup.*

*He cast aside the residual drops of his tea, using the mere runoff of his afternoon refreshment to rewrite the fundamental bloodline of an ancient god!*

*He told him quiet hours start at two o’clock...*

*Because to Senior Brother, elevating a three-mile dragon into a primordial solar deity is a minor chore to finish before his afternoon nap!*

Lyra’s breath caught in her throat.

*This is the true meaning of the Great Idle.*

*He does not conquer through bloodshed.*

*He cleanses the universe with the water from his sink!*

On the porch railing, Felix Vance stood with a clean linen cloth in his hands, carefully drying the wooden rim of the wash bucket.

He looked over the railing, squinting at the scene below.

The three-mile dragon was no longer blue.

It was glowing a bright, obnoxious gold that reflected painfully off the wet grass.

Even worse, the giant lizard had crashed face-first into the boundary ditch, splashing mud all over the gravel pathway and bawling like a lost toddler.

Felix sighed deeply, rubbing his temples with one hand.

"Unbelievable," Felix muttered. "World boss encounters are so badly scripted."

He had seen this kind of broken mob behavior in buggy MMOs before.

You throw a low-tier consumable or a piece of trash to aggro an elite mob away from your campsite, and the pathfinding AI breaks completely.

The mob glitches into a ditch, clips through the terrain, and gets stuck in a weeping animation loop.

A faint amber bracket appeared above the golden lizard's head in Felix's vision:

【Target: Ignis-Azureus (Glitch-Evolved Gold Tier)】 【Status: Weeping Animation Loop (AI Pathing Failure)】 【Threat Level: 0.00% (Bugged Harmless Neutral)】 【Inspector Note: A massive world boss whose combat script crashed after taking 0.0001% splash damage from soapy dishwater. Currently stuck crying in your drainage ditch. Recommended action: Ignore it until server reset.】

"Great," Felix grumbled. "Now there’s a giant golden slug stuck in the drainage ditch. And it’s making a puddle of tear water right where Nether-Bane just spread fresh mulch."

Felix shook his head in disgust.

He set the clean wooden wash bucket upside down on the porch floorboards, right beside the brass perch.

Barnaby the clockwork owl remained perfectly quiet, the black rubber stopper holding his beak shut while his chronal gear kept up its steady rhythm: *tick... tick... tick.*

Felix walked over to the cedar table.

Grandmaster Vivienne’s purple Sovereign Heart Seal held the table firm against the floorboards, completely unbattered by the dragon’s crash landing.

Felix picked up his Infinite Cozy Teacup, glancing inside to verify that every drop of tea dregs was gone.

The porcelain was pristine, radiating a comfortable warmth of 68.5°C.

He glanced down at the AetherDeck on the table.

The system clock displayed 02:04 PM.

"Four minutes past nap time," Felix said, his voice laced with mild annoyance. "Four entire minutes wasted on porch maintenance."

He walked over to the cloud-silk hammock suspended between the two ancient pines.

He climbed inside, settling his back into the feather-light silk weave.

He pulled his old straw hat down over his eyes, shutting out the golden glare of the weeping dragon in the ditch.

"Nether-Bane," Felix called out lazily from beneath his hat.

Down in the garden, Lord Nether-Bane dropped his rake and snapped to attention, bowing deeply toward the porch.

"Your command, Supreme Master?" Nether-Bane responded with fervent loyalty.

"If that golden lizard doesn't stop crying by two-thirty," Felix mumbled, his voice trailing off into sleepiness, "tell him to take it down the mountain. Some of us have a strict sleeping schedule."

Nether-Bane’s jawbone clicked with fierce, military pride.

"Understood, Master!" Nether-Bane declared. "I shall enforce the sacred quiet hours with my very unlife!"

Felix crossed his hands over his stomach, letting out a long, contented breath.

Deep within his chest, his Sol-Class stellar core hummed with steady, frictionless warmth, wrapping him in an invisible blanket of solar comfort.

Outside the fence, Dragon King Ignis-Azureus heard the Master’s words through the wind.

The dragon immediately clamped his massive golden jaws shut, swallowing his sobs and holding his breath in terrified reverence.

*The Master has decreed silence,* the dragon king thought, shivering with awe. *I must not disturb the Sun Father’s sacred rest!*

And with that, absolute peace returned to Solitude Spire.
