The heavy steel chains rattled against the titanium cage bars.
Inside the enclosed ring, Alliance Chief Lei Ba and fugitive killer Blood-Claw Yan stood side by side.
Thick crimson internal qi bled from Blood-Claw Yan’s fingers, coiling through the air like venomous vipers.
Lei Ba snatched up one of the heavy iron-wood broadsword hilts from the canvas and swung it, his face twisted in a rabid snarl.
“Lin Mo!” Lei Ba screamed through the mesh. “You have thirty seconds to send a fighter in, or you surrender the tournament by default!”
In the arena stands, thirty thousand spectators looked down with uneasy murmurs.
“That is Blood-Claw Yan,” a veteran martial coach whispered in the front row. “He killed twelve grandmasters in underground rings across three provinces. He never leaves a living opponent.”
“And Lei Ba is an Early Rank-3 fighter himself,” another spectator said. “A two-on-one deathmatch inside a locked cage is pure suicide!”
