Chapter 248: Level 90 Milestone: The Infinite Dantian Galaxy

A pleasant warmth settled deep within Felix’s lower abdomen, right around his navel.

It felt remarkably like holding a warm ceramic hot water bottle against his stomach on a brisk autumn afternoon, or finishing a large bowl of hearty noodle broth simmered with ginger and scallions.

He yawned, slowly opening one eye beneath the tilted brim of his straw hat.

The afternoon breeze was still blowing gently through the cedar posts of the porch, carrying the sweet fragrance of sun-ripened honeydew melons from the terraces below.

On the cedar tea table, the AetherDeck was chiming with a steady, musical sequence of golden bells.

Felix reached out with a lazy arm, picked up the slate, and tapped the glowing screen to silence the alarm.

A full-screen milestone banner was unfurling across the jade display, complete with pixelated confetti and golden laurel wreaths.

DEV CONSOLE
STANDALONE HOST
MILESTONE REACHED: LEVEL 90 STELLAR ASCENSION
Core Structure: Infinite Spiral Dantian Galaxy
Stellar Bodies: 100,000,000,000 Micro-Stars
Energy Flow: Perpetual Thermodynamic Equilibrium
Base Passive Generation: +∞ Spiritual Essence / Sec
Core Thermostat: 22.5°C (Locked at Optimal Room Temp)
Passive Trait Acquired: Supreme Chill (Permanent)
Status: Creative Mode Unlocked (Infinite Mana Cap)

Felix blinked at the little infinity symbol flashing next to his energy regeneration rate.

"Well, look at that," he murmured, adjusting his position in the hammock. "The progression math completely broke. Once an idle game gives you infinite mana per second, the whole concept of grinding becomes irrelevant. It's basically sandbox mode from here on out."

He tapped the core diagnostics tab to see what had actually changed under the hood.

Instead of the blazing binary star that had occupied his dantian for the past twenty levels, the visual schematic now displayed a breathtaking, slowly rotating spiral galaxy.

One hundred billion tiny specks of warm golden light drifted along delicate celestial arms, spinning smoothly around a central core that radiated absolute, peaceful stillness.

The rotation speed was precisely calibrated so that it generated zero friction, zero heat spike, and zero rotational drag.

Even better, the small battery icon in the top right corner of the AetherDeck had transformed into an eternal golden infinity loop.

"Infinite battery life," Felix whispered, a smile of pure satisfaction spreading across his face. "No more running copper cables to the star-core reactor to charge this slate. That alone makes the whole playthrough worth it."

Barnaby hopped over from his sundial perch, fluttering his polished brass wings with a quiet mechanical hum.

The owl’s obsidian eyes clicked through four magnification stops, peering directly at the center of Felix's chest.

"Hoot," Barnaby chirped softly.

【Barnaby (Clockwork Familiar - Peak Chrono-Titan Class): Scanning the internal dantian horizon of User 001. A self-contained spiral galaxy has stabilized within the mortal flesh, housing one hundred billion embryonic star systems in complete gravitational harmony. The universal constant of decay has been reduced to zero within a ten-foot radius. Status: Highly pleased that the Master's stomach is now an ideal surface for warming feet.】

Felix chuckled, patting his flat belly.

"Good thing the thermostat locked at room temperature," Felix said to the owl. "Can you imagine having a hundred billion suns in your gut and waking up drenched in sweat? That would ruin the whole point of a nap."

Barnaby hopped onto Felix's lap, settling his brass talons gently on Felix's hemp trousers, clearly enjoying the subtle, radiant warmth radiating through the cloth.

While Felix was busy testing the comfort of his newly upgraded internal heating pad, the astronomical observatories across the three thousand realms were experiencing a state of complete spiritual paralysis.

In the grand celestial dome of the Starlight Citadel, the gigantic astrolabe that had tracked the movements of heaven for nine epochs began to spin backwards.

The heavy bronze gears, each the size of a city block, turned without a single groan of friction.

Saint Ancestor Chen dropped his pearwood walking staff, staring out the transparent crystal dome of the observatory.

"Look at the constellations," Chen whispered, his ancient voice cracking with emotion. "The stars... they are aligning."

Chancellor Valen, Elder Raymond, and forty Grand Elders rushed to the circular observation balcony, their hands gripping the stone parapet.

Above them, the night sky was glowing with a vast, spiral expanse of violet, indigo, and pale gold light.

Every single star across the northern and southern quadrants was pulsing in a slow, rhythmic cadence that matched the steady breathing of a sleeping man.

When the invisible pulse expanded, a soft wave of revitalizing cosmic dew fell across every world, curing diseases, replenishing dried riverbeds, and causing barren orchards to burst into fragrant blossom.

When the pulse receded, a profound tranquility swept across the minds of all living beings, melting away ancient grudges, cooling fierce martial tempers, and filling every soul with an overwhelming urge to sit down and drink a quiet cup of tea.

"The Great Inversion..." Chancellor Valen whispered, tears streaming freely down his cheeks. "The ancient masters taught that the universe holds all mortals within its grasp. But the Sovereign has reversed the cosmic order."

Grand Marshal Vane-Talon looked up from his command bridge, his feathered wings trembling with spiritual awe.

"The universe outside is no longer the true reality," Vane-Talon said, his voice reverent and breathless. "The cosmos we inhabit is merely a reflection. The true universe—the infinite expanse of pure creation—has been condensed entirely within the Sovereign's dantian!"

"He holds the heavens within his breath," Elder Raymond murmured, hurriedly writing the revelation onto a fresh roll of jade parchment with shaking fingers. "He breathes in, and the stars brighten. He breathes out, and the cosmos rests. To cultivate is no longer to seek the Dao through combat—it is merely to exist in harmony with the Sovereign's slumber."

Down on the middle agricultural terrace, Lyra Ashford was holding a wooden watering bucket over a bed of budding sun-cabbages.

As the cosmic pulse washed through the atmosphere, her own core flared with golden light.

She did not meditate. She did not chant ancient incantations or cycle her meridian channels through torturous trials.

She merely stood there, listening to the gentle drip of water falling onto the moist loam.

A soft chiming sound rang within her soul.

Her cultivation level, which had remained firmly locked at the peak of the Ninth Tier, slipped effortlessly into the Celestial Sovereign Realm.

The breakthrough happened with such frictionless ease that zero drops of water spilled from her wooden ladle.

Lyra looked at her glowing hands in utter disbelief.

"No tribulation lightning..." Lyra whispered, her eyes wide with shock. "No heart demons. No crushing agony of heavenly punishment. The Master's internal galaxy is so vast that the Heavenly Dao itself dared not question my ascension."

A nearby disciple fell to his knees in tears. "Senior Sister! My meridian blockages... they simply vanished! I broke through two stages while pruning the tomato vines!"

Even the wildlife of the mountain seemed transformed by the gentle stellar tide.

Down along the forest edge, several wild thunder-panthers and azure cranes, normally territorial and ferocious beasts, strolled quietly onto the garden paths. Instead of hunting, they curled up together beside the wooden irrigation sluice, purring in deep, contented harmony.

Lyra smiled serenely, gently patting the young disciple on the shoulder.

"Do not boast," she advised gently. "The Master teaches us that true strength is quiet. Finish watering the cabbages, then take a restful seat in the shade. That is the true way of our Peak."

Up in the orbital transit ring, Grand Marshal Vane-Talon noticed his own flagship's chronometers slowing slightly to synchronize with the mountain's natural pulse.

"Observe the celestial navigation charts," Vane-Talon ordered his navigator. "All gravity wells across three thousand sectors have softened into gentle orbital slopes. Ships no longer require heavy atmospheric shielding to enter port."

"It is as if the universe has been cushioned with velvet," the navigator replied in awe. "A child could pilot a dreadnought through the rings today."

Back up on the porch of Solitude Spire, Vivienne walked over to Felix's hammock with a small porcelain plate holding two slices of chilled melon.

She looked at Felix, who was contentedly rubbing Barnaby's clockwork back while staring at his slate.

"The elders below are saying that your breath is now the pulse of the heavens," Vivienne said, her tone filled with amused warmth. "They say you have swallowed the cosmos and replaced the old Dao with an infinite sea of golden stars."

Felix looked up from his screen and took a slice of melon from the plate.

"People read way too much into game mechanics," Felix said between bites of sweet melon. "It's just an integer overflow on the passive generation stat. In these cheap indie games, once your core hits level ninety, the developers stop balancing the numbers and just slap an infinity sign on everything."

Vivienne smiled softly, sitting down in her wicker chair and pulling her legs up beneath her flowing green robes.

"And what does the Sovereign plan to do with this infinite power?" she asked, leaning her cheek against her palm.

Felix took another bite of melon, swallowed, and wiped his sticky fingers on a clean cloth.

"Well," Felix said thoughtfully, looking out over the golden horizon. "Now that I don't have to worry about mana costs or cooling fans anymore, I can leave the screen off for a solid twelve hours without checking my notifications. That's real freedom."

Vivienne let out a quiet, melodic laugh that mingled with the rustle of the pine needles.

"A truly terrifying ambition, Master," she whispered.

"You laugh," Felix said, closing his eyes and letting the gentle warmth of his spiral galaxy soothe his muscles. "But true mastery of an idle game is knowing when to let it idle. Wake me up when it's time for dinner."

Barnaby let out a soft hoot of agreement, resting his brass head against Felix's ribs.

The infinite galaxy within Felix's dantian spun on in silent, frictionless harmony, powering the peace of three thousand realms while its creator drifted off into a sweet, untroubled slumber.
