SHING—HUMMMMMMM!
Four blinding streaks of silver sword-light, crimson volcano-flame, blue glacier-ice, and withered black wood tore across the midnight sky from the Rear Palace Forbidden Mountain.
Within three breaths, the four streaks of light screeched to a halt one hundred feet above the center of the Grand Imperial Plaza. Kicking up a howling gale that blew out half the lanterns along the outer marble terraces!
Hovering in mid-air atop four nine-foot flying spirit-swords were four white-haired, crane-robed old men whose wide silk sleeves bore the faded outer-deacon crests of the Nine-Continent Immortal Sects.
Every single one of the four elders radiated the suffocating, full-power spiritual pressure of Rank 4 Peak (Qi Gathering Stage 9 Perfection)!
They were the legendary—and deeply feared—Four Royal Immortal Advisors of the Great Qian Kingdom:.
First, standing at the lead on a silver-white broadsword, was Elder Jian-Chen. A former outer-court deacon who had been expelled forty years ago from the Supreme Sword Sect in the Nine-Continent Sect Lands for secretly embezzling disciple spirit-stones.
Second, wreathed in choking red sulfur-smoke on his left, was Elder Huo-Yun, a rogue fire-cultivator from the Blazing Sun Valley.
