The second bolt didn’t fall as light. It fell as a physical hammer.
It dropped from the iron vortex not as a sharp arc. But as a dense, blunt column of tightly packed spark mass forty inches thick. A moving discharge weighing upwards of fifty thousand pounds, moving at twenty times the speed of sound.
It hit Lin Ke’s chest with the bone-shaking force of a runaway freight car slamming into an iron wall.
WHAM!
The dark rock altar beneath his knees collapsed three inches deeper into the earth, the surrounding flat stone slabs grinding into fine black flour under the tearing gravity pull.
The blasting blast wave tore through his Abyssal Ashen Bone Lattice. His skeleton had been refactored into high-thickness stone alloy. Even so, the sheer clockwork load exceeded the material yield threshold.
Micro-cracks spiderwebbed across his chest bone with dry, sound ticks. His ribs groaned, the between-rib joint padding compressing inward by nearly an inch as the hammer sought to crush his heart into red pulp.
At the same time, the spark heat of the bolt ignited the un-sintered Crimson Yang reserves pooled in his chest cavities.
