The silence that followed the collapse of the telepathic broadcast was eerie and thick.

Down in the lower valleys of the Radiant Dawn Academy, stunned disciples were still dusting flagstone grit from their tunics.

Above them, the black geometric tear in the skybox seemed to fester, its edges bleeding thin tendrils of dark violet static into the clouds.

On Solitude Spire, Felix Vance picked up his zinc watering can once more, checking the spout.

"Good. No clogs," Felix murmured.

He turned toward the edge of the terrace where a second raised garden bed held three prize specimens of Golden Sun-Radishes.

The soil was warm to the touch, constantly bathed in the faint, soothing heat radiated by his internal Sol-Class stellar core.

Lord Nether-Bane remained on his knees, carefully dusting stray leaves from the gravel border.

"Master," Nether-Bane whispered, his hollow eye sockets glowing with faint emerald reverence. "The atmospheric density above the outer ridge is fluctuating. A vessel of unholy construction has pierced the lower boundary."

Felix didn't bother looking up.

"If it's another door-to-door religious pamphlet salesman from the Solar Peak, tell them I'm sleeping."

"It does not appear to be an emissary of the Solar Peak, Master," Nether-Bane murmured, gesturing with his tiny iron trowel toward the upper clouds.

Through the ragged rift in the sky, an abyssal vessel descended into the mortal atmosphere.

It did not resemble any flying ship forged by mortal or celestial hands.

Roughly three hundred paces in length, the craft was shaped like an elongated trilobite forged from oily black chitin and fossilized bone.

Along its dorsal ridge, dozens of weeping golden eyeballs blinked in irregular, sickening spasms.

Thin, translucent cilia rippled beneath its armored carapace, propelling the vessel through the air without sails, propellers, or spirit-keels.

A cold, sulfurous stench rolled down from the sky, withering the wild grass along the mountain ridges.

Inside the vessel's fleshy neural bridge, Void Scout-Captain Vrr'Kael glared down at the floating archipelago.

The scout-captain possessed four multi-jointed arms, a head like an armored nautilus shell, and three vertical mouths filled with serrated needles.

"Primitive carbon cluster located," Vrr'Kael hissed in the tongue of the deep void, green bile dripping from his mandibles. "Commence ontological scanning."

A fleshy console before him rippled like bruised fruit, projecting a wireframe schematic of the Seven Spires.

"Captain," an abyssal drone burbled from an incubation sac. "The lower spires possess negligible energetic potential. However, the seventh isolated spire registers anomalous gravitational curvature. Local space-time is compressed beneath a heavy mass anomaly."

Vrr'Kael bared his needle-like teeth in a contemptuous sneer.

"A primitive sealing array. Some deceased planetary god buried their carcass beneath that rock. Warm the Reality-Dissolution Ray. We shall vaporize the peak, extract the mineral marrow, and establish the advance beachhead for High Sovereign Xylarion's grand armada."

Along the prow of the trilobite cruiser, three massive chitinous mandibles peeled open.

Deep within the vessel's gullet, an orb of anti-matter plasma began to coalesce, drinking in all ambient light until the surrounding air turned bone-white.

Down in the Astral Observatory, Chancellor Valen let out a strangled cry.

"The Extinction Cannon!" Valen shrieked, clawing at the stone balcony. "That vessel... it is an Abyssal Bio-Dreadnought! The energy reading in its prow exceeds twelve million high-grade spirit stones! It is aiming directly at Solitude Spire!"

Grand Marshal Vane-Talon rushed to the telescope, his heart freezing in his chest.

"The targeting lock has engaged," Vane-Talon said, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the brass rim. "The beam will disintegrate the entire mountain into quantum dust in three seconds!"

"Can Senior Felix evade?!" Valen pleaded, panic completely unraveling his composure.

"Evade?" Vane-Talon looked at Valen as if the chancellor had lost his mind. "The man barely walks to the kitchen table to eat porridge. You think he will run from a flying insect?"

Back on Solitude Spire, Felix was leaning over the golden radish bed, aiming the spout of his zinc can at a dry patch of mulch.

Suddenly, a strange purple insect—roughly the size of a pigeon, with fluttering shadow-wings and twitching velvet antennae—fluttered out of the air.

It landed directly on the broad, succulent leaf of his prize five-star Sun-Lotus Cabbage.

Felix stopped.

His eyes narrowed beneath the brim of his straw hat.

"Hey," Felix said, his voice dropping into a tone of quiet, lethal displeasure. "Get off the crop."

The shadow-moth fluttered its wings disrespectfully, beginning to nibble on the golden edge of the sacred leaf.

"That's a plus-five defense consumable, you little pest," Felix muttered.

Annoyed, Felix raised the zinc watering can by six inches.

He gave his wrist a casual, half-hearted flick, swinging the heavy copper nozzle of the watering can sideways like a makeshift flyswatter.

*Swat.*

To Felix, it was the most ordinary gesture imaginable—the reflex of an irritated gardener swatting a bug off his vegetables.

Yet within his dantian, the twin stellar cores—the 1.0-Earth-Mass main-sequence sun and the ultra-dense white dwarf companion—shifted by half a millimeter to compensate for his wrist momentum.

A micro-fraction of gravitational potential energy bled through his forearm.

The heavy copper nozzle of the watering can accelerated from zero to Mach 42 across a travel distance of barely four inches.

The ambient air did not have time to move out of the way.

It simply ionized into a razor-thin crescent of incandescent white plasma, generating a localized acoustic shockwave that tore outward in a flat, horizontal fan.

*Crack!*

The shadow-moth on the cabbage leaf was pulverized so instantly that not even ash remained.

Yet the kinetic shockwave did not stop at the edge of the porch railing.

It ripped upward across the sky at forty times the speed of sound, cutting through the lower atmosphere like a scythe made of condensed lightning.

Two thousand feet above the spire, Void Scout-Captain Vrr'Kael was counting down to ignition.

"Firing in three... two... on—"

The horizontal shockwave struck the trilobite cruiser.

The impact was not an explosion.

It was pure, unadulterated kinetic shearing.

The razor-sharp sonic shockwave neatly sliced through the vessel's reinforced obsidian carapace, bisecting the prow, the targeting optics, and the charging anti-matter cannon with mathematical perfection.

The twelve million spirit-stone plasma charge in the vessel's gullet imploded inward, collapsing the ship's internal atmospheric containment.

The ship's sixty weeping golden eyes burst simultaneously like overripe grapes.

*Boom-thud!*

The three-hundred-pace void cruiser was violently shoved three miles backward through the air, tumbling end-over-end through the cloud bank like a kicked tin can.

Its severed ventral fins fluttered down into the mountain forest like charred confetti.

Inside the wrecked command deck, Vrr'Kael was thrown across the blood-smeared deck, three of his four arms dislocated and his nautilus skull cracked.

"Damage report!" Vrr'Kael shrieked through mouthfuls of green ichor. "What fired upon us?! Was it the empire's planetary orbital cannon?!"

A surviving drone pulled itself from an amniotic puddle, its sensory tentacles twitching in gibbering horror.

"N-no, Captain!" the drone wailed. "The attack was not magical! There was no spell circle! No spiritual intent! No runic incantation!"

"Then what struck us?!"

"A... a copper watering can, Captain!" the drone cried, projecting a trembling psychic replay. "The entity in the straw hat... he was swatting a garden moth! The ambient wind of his swing sheared our flagship in two!"

Vrr'Kael stared at the projection, his mandibles clicking in absolute, soul-destroying paralysis.

A casual swat.

An incidental twitch of the wrist while watering vegetables.

"Withdraw..." Vrr'Kael choked out, his vision dimming into blackness. "Send emergency telemetry to the Grand Armada... this world does not house mortals... it houses an ancient celestial exterminator..."

Down in the Astral Observatory, Chancellor Valen stood with his mouth hanging open, completely incapable of speech.

Grand Marshal Vane-Talon slowly took off his spectacles, using the hem of his apprentice apron to wipe away the fog of shock.

"A single swat of a watering can," Vane-Talon whispered, a strange, ecstatic smile spreading across his weathered face. "He didn't even drop his tea."

On the porch of Solitude Spire, Felix lowered the zinc can, inspecting the clean cabbage leaf.

The pest was gone.

The leaf remained unblemished.

"Much better," Felix sighed, tipping the spout once more. "Bugs these days have zero survival instincts."

He reached into his pocket and brought out the AetherDeck to verify his morning harvest progress.

The screen lit up with a prompt that chimed cheerfully.

[1. SELL TRASH (1 COPPER)] [2. VIEW CROPS] [3. CLOSE]

Felix tapped [1. SELL TRASH] and pocketed a single bronze coin that materialized in his palm.

"One copper for a bug swat," Felix grunted, shaking his head. "Hardly worth the wrist motion, but at least the cabbage looks happy."

He glanced toward the horizon where the smoky silhouette of the bisected void cruiser was tumbling toward the outer rocky ridges.

His eyes narrowed as the Inspector HUD flared into view.

【Target: Heavily Mangled Abyssal Bio-Corvette】 【Classification: Low-Tier Chitin Scout Craft】 【Hull Integrity: 3% (Catastrophic Kinetic Shearing)】 【Threat Level: Trivial Environmental Debris】 【Inspector Note: Struck by a stray acoustic wave from an ordinary gardening implement. The remaining crew is currently suffering collective psychological dissolution. Sells for salvage scrap at two coppers per ton. Too heavy to haul to the pawnshop. Leave it for the local scavengers.】

"Two coppers per ton?" Felix muttered, visibly disgusted by the low vendor price. "I wouldn't walk down the hill for two coppers if the gold fell out of the sky."

Beside him, Lord Nether-Bane crawled forward on his hands and knees, gingerly touching the damp soil around the Sun-Lotus cabbage with a trembling skeletal claw.

"Master," Nether-Bane choked out, his ghostly visage pale with transcendent terror. "The... the kinetic wave from your sacred wrist... it passed within three inches of this servant's skull. The sheer density of your celestial gravity flattened seventeen mountain ridges behind the vessel, yet every grain of this garden's dirt remained perfectly still."

"Yeah, that's called proper tool control, Nether-Bane," Felix said calmly, tucking the watering can beneath his arm. "You hit the pest, you don't ruin the mulch. A five-year-old knows that."

Over on the roof beam, Barnaby the Clockwork Owl puffed out his polished brass chest.

The black rubber stopper in his beak vibrated as his internal chronometer clicked with pristine precision.

*Tick... tock... whir.*

The owl's amber optical sensors tracked the distant explosion of the scout craft with triumphant satisfaction, as if Barnaby had orchestrated the entire defense plan himself.

Beside him, Lyra Ashford remained frozen on her knees, staring at the distant plume of black smoke drifting from the shattered void cruiser across the horizon.

Her breath came in ragged, worshipful gasps.

'He cleaved an abyssal leviathan as an afterthought while checking his mulch,' she thought, her heart swelling with devotion so fierce it brought tears to her eyes. 'The heavens tremble before the wrath of the outer dark... but Senior Brother's garden remains eternal.'

She bowed her head once more, her rapier resting reverently across the cedar floorboards.

Overhead, the 108 fairy-lit dreadnought moonlets gently hummed, their festive paper lanterns swaying in the peaceful morning breeze as Felix strolled back toward his hammock for an early nap.
